Warranties

All bikes and scooters that may require repair under the warranty must be returned to The Elecride Hub at the purchasers cost, once the required work is assessed Elecride Ltd. may, at their discretion, reimburse cost of return carriage. Elecride Ltd. reserves the right to decide the most suitable way of repairing the item and will endeavor to effect repairs in a timely fashion, no guarantee can be given as to the time taken due to availability of parts. Elecride Ltd. will not be responsible for incidental losses or consequential damages as a result of any warranty claim.

All our electric bikes and scooters require periodic maintenance. The owner/rider should carry out inspection of the bike/scooter before every use. If defects are found the bike/scooter should not be used until such time as repairs or maintenance can be carried out. This repair/maintenance should be carried out by a suitably experienced person. Elecride Ltd can not be held responsible for damages that occur as a result of improper repairs/maintenance. 

Elecride Ltd. offer a free, post delivery service, which is to be carried out at The Elecride Hub after a period of 2 weeks or 100 miles whichever occurs the soonest. It is the owners responsibility to contact Elecride Ltd and deliver/collect the bike/scooter to The Elecride Hub. 

It is the owners responsibility to ensure that the appropriate service is carried out after the specified time/mileage period. Failure to have the service carried out may affect the warranty offered with the sale of the bike/scooter.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

The purchase of your Elecride Bike includes a 12 month warranty against defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase. The 12 month warranty is restricted to major components, being the frame, the motor and battery and controller. All other items are covered for warranty for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase, being mechanical brake components (excluding serviceable items), bearings and crank components, failure of the chain, gears and sprocket components (excluding damage caused by impact or use outside of fair wear and tear). 

Please retain your proof of purchase for reference when making enquiries on this warranty.

Original warranty may be transferred to a new owner providing all original proof of purchase is transferred to the new owner. The transfer of ownership must be notified to Elecride Ltd prior to any warranty application, the warranty period remains as 12 months from the original delivery date.  

The following are classed as Consumable items are are not included as part of your warranty.

  • Tyres
  • Inner tubes
  • Handlebar grips
  • Brake cables
  • Brake pads
  • Paint
  • Rubber bungs
  • Any item deemed to be a serviceable part
  • Lights

 

When you will not be able to use your warranty

The requested work is to repair consumable items which are not covered by the warranty.

The part which is submitted for repair or maintenance demonstrates signs of misuse or handling that is contrary to the instructions set out in this manual, including but not limited to inappropriate use or incorrect maintenance and storage or signs of crash damage may invalidate a warranty claim.

The submitted repair work is needed due to the bike having been involved in an accident or reckless / intentional damage.

The requested work is to repair normal wear and tear, surface or cosmetic damage.

You cannot use your warranty without original proof of purchase that validates the bike's warranty duration by way of serial number and date on that proof of purchase.

The opening, disassembly or modification of the bike with non-licensed or non-original parts or by a non-licensed person will invalidate the warranty. If your bike needs a service, call the Elecride Helpline so we can discuss the available options.

If your bike is registered under warranty, and is covered for repair, it will be repaired at no cost.

WARRANTY DETAILS (How it works and what's covered)

Your EOVOLT electric bike comes with:

  • A life time warranty on the frame.
  • Electronic components such as motor ,battery ,electronic cabling, LCD display and electronic brake cut off's also have a 2 year warranty.


WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Contractual warranty excludes damage or defects caused by: abnormal use, lack of maintenance, accidental damage, prolonged exposure to moisture or liquid or non-compliance with recommendations.

  • Damage caused by incorrect maintenance
  • External factors such as shocks, lightning storms, current surges, short circuit, etc
  • Damage caused by excess exposure to the elements (eg rust caused by not storing bike indoors)
  • Modification of electrical components or any modifications (eg additions not included when bought)
  • Paint, varnish and bike graphics
  • Wearing parts such as tyres, brake pads, brake cables, handle bar grips, freewheels etc.
  • Spokes

Warranties Are NON TRANSFERABLE. Warranty could be void if MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES ARE NOT FOLLOWED.

 

E-GO

E-Go folding electric bikes are from UK stock and come with a full 12 month warranty against manufacturing and material defects, this does not cover normal wear and tear, damage/failure due to an accident, incidental or consequential damage, or any use of the product that's inconsistent with the operating instructions as laid out in our user manual.
